Suzi and I met on October 23 after we connected on Match.com. When I met her i knew my life had changed. We had our first date at the Bar in Boalsburg. We stood out in the rain kissing for 20 min. Exactly 1 year later we were married. 15 years later I am convinced that was the best decision I ever made.
Our minister was an old friend of mine from High School. He was in Florida so we used Skype to connect.
My Dad felt unwell the day of the wedding and could not attend. So a bunch of us toook our motorcycle motorcaid to the assisted living home where he lived. He was thrilled and so were the other residents.
Us with Dad. When I first took Suzi to meet Dad, she went out to the bike and Dad said to me "You better marry her before she gets away!" Dad always gave me good advice!
Us and Dad. Suzi would check on Dad almost every day at the assisted living home. So did I and so did Chi. I would occasionally take him to my house, or shopping, or just for a drive.
Our cake. We provided food and drink. Some people also brought food. We had a LOT of booze left over.
This is our marriage license. Technically it was a Quaker license, which allows people in PA to marry themselves. However, Brian is a minister, and he wanted to do the ceremony, so we set up a Skype with him in Florida.
Brian. Unfortunately we had a falling out over my liberal Christian views versus his conservative Christian views. Sad, I tried to reconnect but I guess Brian is not ready yet.
Prof. Tony Lenz. A good friend and expert at oral presentations and dialects. Every year he would read Dicken's Christmas Carol in State College. I went a number of time, sat in front, and listened with my eyes closed.
