In order to make things go faster I decided to scan whole pages of photos and not break them up into individual photos. That takes too much time. Besides, you can download and edit as you wish. I will try to describe what/who is each picture. They are mostly family.

Mom and Dad lived at this lavish Retirement Villiage on an Island in lake Travis. However, Dad did not like the declining service and increased cost. Plus one of his friends (Duke) had passed away. I think the shock of moving accelerated Mom's dementia. At any rate they visited me for a week, then Dad asked if I would mind if they moved to State College. Of course I didn't mind.
They had friends but Mom lost the freedom to go anywhere. I kinda feel the same being crippled, but thankfully Suzi cares for me like Dad cared for Mom.
The Island. (see the movie) It was beautiful. Give me a big co,puter room and with Austin 40 miles away I would be happy. Esp those rolling hills in my Mustang. But Mom felt caged (she told me).
Dad loved Billy's farm and went there to fish many times. both loved being close to their granddaughters, and eventually great-granddaughter.

Me, then 3 pix of Grandma Morse. She was the sweetest lady ever! She would spend 1.2 month with her son Howard and 1/2 month with Mom and Dad. Aunt Ruthie never helped. :-( She would babysit me when I was little, then I would babysit her when I was a teen. I naver heard an unkind word from her although she was agnostic.

TL - Newspaper article about Travis (10 at the time) learning Kokikai-Ryu Aikido as part of the Penn State Aikido Club. Sadly the University, in an example of top-down stupidity, closed all martial arts clubs in the early 2020's. Our kitty Pantera on my bed maybe I am lucky or maybe my karma is good but all of my cats were super-affectionale. Then a few of my id cards, with ssn redacted.
My Academic advisor, and good friend, Professor Gerald M. Phillips. He helped me focus my CMC research and championed me through my PhD - Interdisciplinary Communication and Information Science. He is one of the few true geniuses I have ever known. He taught largly through the Socratic method, with students gathered in his living rommand listening to, or sometimes, debating him (which he loved). Billy and his beautiful electra-glide.
Peter Monteverde gave me this label! Middle Pic, Billy actually came to an Aikido summer camp with me. He left slightly unimpressed. I think he would have done better in ju-jitsu had he decided to continue in MA. Although he is damn good with guns! Bottom pic is Aikido club at a summer camp.

Another pic of the Travis Aikido article. He only stayed with it for a few years. Sensei seemed to like him! I always encouraged my kids, and now my grandkids to learn a martial art. Aside from the self-defense, Aikido helps me through moments of depression or anxiety. BL I think is Frankie on the left and Dad on the right. BR is Mom standing in front of Granpaps Fox Chapel home.

Mom was an actress, singer and dancer when she met Dad. did a few modeling gigs after they were married but really soon had me and she traded her dreams for a family. She was a little blonde woman, tough as nails (a lot like Suzi) and she care about her family and pets above all.
