Suzi and I rode to Pittsburgh in 2011. I wanted to show her where
I grew up.

Tarentum is typical of the Allegheny river towns.
Seen better days. Tarentum is about 15 miles upriver from Blawnox.

This is where I lived from age 9 till 17.
I went to PSU. I was about 2 blocks uphill from the river.
Dad build a beauty salon in the garage, and she
worked there.

The Blaw-Knox steel mill was across the street.
I lived in this tiny house from age 5 to 8. Skalski's Tavern was across the parking lot.
Skalski's was renamed Moondogs by new owner
Ron Moondog Escher.

This is the infamous tit hill. For many years in the 60s and 70s kids would gather here and have a field party. We could see the only road there for about 2 miles.

We only got busted once. A don knotts kind of Cop
snuck up while we were listening to load music. By luck, Bobby threw the one container of evidence into the thick brush.

This was a little nook in an hidden area at the bottom of the cathedral. A few of my fellow programmers and I
